Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet joined nearly 21,000 people at the “Go Greek” festival in the Brunswick Centre in central London.
The packed event hosted performances from high profile DJs and musicians such as Christos Nikolopoulos, Desi Slava, Ageliki Darra and Panos Kalidis.
Following the festival, Theresa said “It is great to see this celebration of Greek music, culture, and food. It was a big success and I congratulate Len Lazari and his team for making it all happen.”
“Len and his family gave me a warm welcome and I thank them for their hospitality. It was great to see them and so many other Cypriot friends. Events like this are a great way to bring communities together and I was pleased to be there to support this popular festival. It is always a privilege to enjoy Cypriot hospitality and delicious food.”
Prominent members of the British Cypriot community attending the event included Nicholas Lazari, Mary Lazari, Yiannis Stergides, George Georgiou, Doros Partasides, Margaret Tofalides, Stella Dinenis, Jason Charalmbous, Skevi Kay, and Zoe Protopapas.
