I would like to wish Eid Mubarak to all of my constituents who celebrating Eid al-Adha!
Translating to ‘Festival of Sacrifice’ Eid al-Adha is a time when Muslims come together with family and friends. As they take part in this important celebration of their faith, Eid al-Adha is a time when followers of the Muslim faith reflect on personal sacrifice and selflessness. It provides a reminder of the duty not to forget those in need in our community, a message which can resonate beyond the Muslim community.
Considered one of the holiest events in the Islamic calendar, Eid al-Adha coincides with another important pillar of the Islamic faith, the Hajj pilgrimage. So I would also like to wish constituents of mine who are taking part in this year’s pilgrimage a safe and spiritually rewarding trip.
