Last night at a meeting of the Executive Council of the Chipping Barnet Conservative Association at their offices in Barnet High Street, Theresa Villiers was reselected as Conservative Parliamentary candidate.
Following the meeting, Theresa said: "It is over 10 years since I was first selected as Conservative candidate for Chipping Barnet, following Sir Sydney Chapman's decision to retire."
"I am delighted to have been reselected as the candidate to contest the election for the Chipping Barnet constituency for the third time.
I very much enjoy my busy programme of work and campaigning in Chipping Barnet on issues such as protecting our green spaces, backing our great schools and supporting local high streets and businesses."
"I am looking forward to the General Election campaign and I'll continue to work hard to seek to persuade residents to give me the chance of a third term in Parliament fighting for the interests of Chipping Barnet. I would like to thank the Chipping Barnet Conservatives for giving me this opportunity by reselecting me last night as the Conservative candidate."
The general election is expected to take place in May 2015.
