Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, is supporting East Barnet Festival in its 21st anniversary year. The festival is taking place on 3-5 July in Oakhill Park and Theresa is encouraging her constituents to go along.
This free festival, which started with a stage and a few stalls. It has developed and expanded to incorporate theatre, dance and music as well as a bar, food festival, a children’s play area and a big top. It is now a full 3 day celebration of summer in East Barnet.
Theresa said “I have attended the East Barnet Festival for many years and each year it gets bigger and better. This is all down to the hard work of organisers such as Pam Edwards, Barry Swain and Cllr Anne-Marie Pearce. Thanks also need to go to the sponsors which include: The Hadley Trust, Chas Lowe Estates, Barnet Arts, Barnet Council, Bodens Theatre School and The Sound Garden.
I will be supporting the festival again this year and I look forward to seeing many of my constituents there too. Please come along for a great day out in Oakhill Park.”
As well as the main East Barnet Festival events from Friday 3 – Sunday 5 July, there are a number of theatre performances during June and July. You can find more information at the festival website.
