North London MPs Theresa Villiers, Nick de Bois, David Burrows and Matthew Offord took part in the discussion with tony Yerolemou, Andreas Papaevripides, Chairman of Democratic Rally UK, and Doros Partasides of CYBC TV.
The meeting was aimed at reconfirming and strengthening the relationship between the Conservative Party and the Cypriot community. Subjects covered included the forthcoming negotiations on a settlement in Cyprus, the exploitation of hydrocarbon deposits in the Med and the continuing economic hardship in Cyprus.
Theresa Villiers said: “We had very a successful meeting with Alok Sharma and discussed what more can be done to enhance the links between the Conservative Party and the Cypriot community. We all agreed on the importance of ensuring that the concerns of British Cypriots are heard at the highest levels of Government.”
