The rally is now in its fifth year and aims to raise awareness of the environmental benefits and enjoyment of cycling around the borough. As ever, cyclists had gone to a lot of effort to decorate their bikes with flags and balloons and many were wearing fancy dress. The rally was escorted by trained stewards, St John’s Ambulance and Police cyclists.
Speaking after the rally, Theresa said, “Once again, this was a great family day out and I really enjoyed taking part. I would encourage as many of my constituents as possible to consider cycling, not just because of the environmental and health benefits, but because it’s great fun too.”
“I'd like to thank all the people who helped to organise this year’s Greenacre Bike Rally for putting together such an excellent day out.”
