During Climate Change week, which runs from 21st - 27th March 2011, thousands of organisations across the country will run events to show what can be achieved, share ideas and encourage others to act during the rest of the year. Climate Change Week is supported by over 180 organisations that represent a further 850,000 organisations and have 6 million individual members in Britain.
Theresa said, “Climate Change Week is an excellent initiative that refocuses everyone’s attention on the urgent need to combat climate change. It is also a great opportunity to share ideas about the simple practical steps that can be taken in schools and businesses in Chipping Barnet, to tackle climate change and help protect our planet.”
“I would like to encourage all organisations across my constituency to think about what they could do during Climate Change Week, however big or small, to raise awareness of this issue and to inspire other residents to get involved.”
