Theresa has supported Mitzvah Day activities for some years. On Sunday, she visited Southgate Progressive Synagogue, in Chase Road N14, to meet members of the Shul including the children taking part in the Mitzvah Day programme organised by Carole Shotts.
Speaking afterwards, Theresa said: “It was great to be able to lend a hand with the Mizvah Day activities organised by Carole Shotts and the Southgate Progressive Synagogue. I enjoyed meeting the children as they prepared a celebratory meal for later in the day. I helped out with sandwich making and also watched a rehearsal for a musical performance.”
“Mitzvah Day is always a good opportunity to help others including vulnerable people and I was impressed at the efforts being made by Shul members. They managed to fill a whole van with toys donated to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice appeal. I am a long time supporter of Noah’s Ark so I was delighted that Southgate Progressive Synagogue have chosen it as one of the charities to support this year as part of Mitzvah Day.”
“I would encourage everyone to get involved in initiatives like Mitzvah Day in the future.”
