On Friday, Theresa visited JCoSS School in East Barnet, where the pupils had been asked to come to school wearing hats, scarves and gloves. At lunchtime, these were donated to World Jewish Relief who will send them to people in poverty around the world so they can keep warm this winter.
On Sunday, Theresa joined the League of Jewish Women to provide tea and entertainment for the residents of Apthorp Lodge off Brunswick Park Road.
In the weeks following, Theresa will also be a judge for a competition Mitzvah Day organisers are running to find the best Mitzvah Days which have an impact both short and long term.
Theresa said, “Mitzvah Day is a great event which brings together friends and families to work together to benefit their local communities.”
“It is an honour to be asked to judge the Mitzvah Day competition and I’ve really enjoyed joining pupils at JCoSS and members of the League of Jewish Women over the weekend to lend a hand.”
