“It is a big disappointment that the health centre remains unused, despite the renovation having been completed. Unfortunately, there are still some outstanding issues to be sorted out between the local GP’s and the NHS. I have urged them both to get these matters resolved and reach an agreement as soon as possible to enable the doctors to move in and get the centre up and running.”
Theresa has welcomed the involvement of the East Barnet Residents Association who are campaigning for the centre to open, along with Conservative Councillor Andreas Tambourides. Cllr Tambourides said:
“This centre is a much valued community resource that is absolutely vital for the health and wellbeing of local residents and which, in my view, has been unavailable for far too long. We will continue to bring every pressure possible to bear on the NHS to re-open this much needed local facility.”
Following the recent transition of the running of services to Clinical Commissioning Groups, Theresa has urged this new body to act swiftly to resolve the situation, saying:
“It is vital that these new facilities become available for use for my constituents. I will continue to keep up the pressure until this happens, working alongside the local Brunswick Park ward Councillors who feel the same way as I do on this.”
