The event was attended by over three hundred people of all faiths and cultures who joined together for a day of mediation and Bhajans (devotional music). Donations raised from the event will be used to fund food rations, medical services, children’s education and the development of sports and music facilities for those in India and parts of Britain.
Theresa said, “This was a very successful day. Many thanks to the organising committee for their hard work in organising the event and to ANLK who do an amazing job of helping so many vulnerable people around the world.”
“It is always an honour to be asked to come along to the Shiv Dun event which provides such an uplifting experience for those who attend and which raises money for such good causes.”
Local ward councillor, Joan Scannell, also attended the event.
