Chipping Barnet MP Theresa Villiers has issued information, advice and a toolkit on her website to help local people object to the proposed Whalebones development.
Theresa is urging residents to resist the building of 152 flats and houses by Hill Residential on the agricultural fields in High Barnet.
A planning consultation is now underway and ends on 16th September, after Theresa secured an extension, but defeating the application needs as many objections to be sent in as possible.
“To have the most impact, objections need to provide reasons which are recognised as valid in planning law and my website page has all the information needed for local people to object, including links to the consultation website and a template letter,” said Theresa.
“This development would involve a tragic loss of open fields and wildlife habitats in the heart of the suburbs, and local people can help stop it from happening by making their voice heard in this planning consultation process. With only a few days to go, I'm urging residents to have their say by responding to the consultation.”
All information, advice, template letter and links to the consultation are available from Theresa’s website at:
