MP Theresa Villiers visited New Barnet’s Royal Mail sorting office on Friday to see first-hand this year’s Christmas delivery operation and say thank you to staff for their hard work.
During her early morning visit, Theresa was shown round the office in Longmore Avenue and met postmen and women who are pulling out all the stops to sort and deliver packages and mail in Barnet before Christmas Day.
“This is the Royal Mail’s busiest time of the year and their staff do a fantastic job making sure cards and parcels make it to homes across Barnet,” said Theresa.
“It was great to meet postmen and post women preparing for their daily delivery round. Getting post and parcels delivered can be a demanding and exhausting job and I thanked the team at Royal Mail in Barnet for all their efforts, which I know are appreciated by my constituents.”
